LOCAL CHURCH ORGANISES BIGGEST BUSINESS PITCH EVENT FOR SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS IN SOUTH LONDON

We are excited to announce the first ever Angels' Den in partnership with Tab Business Forum.

This unique event has been created to help you get the support you need to grow and scale your business and help you connect directly with business owners!

The event will take place on Saturday 24th September 2022 at Tab London, 233-243 Lewisham High Street, London, SE13 6NQ from 9.30am.

We’ll showcase some of  the community's most interesting and innovative startups pitching their ideas live to a panel of experienced investors and entrepreneurs. You will see both startup pitch and what investors really look for in a company.

Following the pitching session we will have a networking session with investors, venture capitalist,  funders and other business owners in attendance. Don't miss the chance to meet and interact with fellow entrepreneurs and investors in an innovative format.

If you are a revenue-generating startup or have been in business for a while but want to scale up, you can apply to pitch by completing this short application form here. Please remember to carefully read and sign the accompanying terms and conditions.

OVERVIEW

On Saturday 24th September 2022 you will be given 5 minutes to pitch your business in front of industry experts and a live audience of other business owners and entrepreneurs.
If your pitch is successful, you could get an investment of up to £100,000 in exchange for equity of your business.

There will be a registration fee of £15 for everyone that applies. This guarantees that you will be entered into the process but does not guarantee that you will be shortlisted. The £15 registration fee is non refundable.

Mike White serves as the senior pastor of ‘The Tab’ a thriving, multi-generational and multi-cultural church in the Southeast of London, England. The Tab Church has become noted as one of the fastest growing churches in the region, both in terms of membership and social influence. The latter has been attributed to a continued philanthropic commitment to positively engage in practically impacting the community through the plethora of church social programs and initiatives.
With a passion for ‘the local church’ Mike has also served as a church consultant to several major local churches, and national church organizations within the UK, by providing guidance and resources on ‘Contemporary Leadership’ and ‘Visionary Transition’.
In addition to leading The Tab Church, and two private businesses, Mike sits on both executive and non-executive boards for a variety of organisations, the most recent appointment being to the board of directors for Spurgeon’s Theological University in London. Having been noted for his keen biblical insight and skilled ability as a speaker, Mike travels regularly speaking as a guest in both conferences and churches throughout the United Kingdom, Europe, Asia, Africa, the USA and the Caribbean. Coupled together with this he also features regularly as both a speaker and host on Christian media networks, such as TBN Europe and the Word network USA.
Mike also currently serves on and for the last three years as a Borough Dean, offering consultation and advice to the mayor and other council leaders on social and religious issues. Married to Donna-Maria, together they serve to see that The Tab Church is continually a place where Christ is central, people are empowered and the city is impacted.

THE PITCH

At the end of your 5 minute pitch, there will be 15 minutes for the panel of Angels' to discuss your business and ask you questions. The Angels' will then be asked to individually score the presentation (on the basis of the criteria detailed below).

Once all 5 applicants have presented their pitch, the highest scoring business will be announced.

ANGELS' DEN STALL

On 24th September 2022, Tab Business Forum will be hosting their very own Angels’ Den where we are looking to attract hundreds of budding and established business owners and entrepreneurs.

We are giving entrepreneurs the oppurtunity to have a stall to sell their products at the event.

BENEFITS OF HAVING A STALL AT TAB’S ANGELS’ DEN

  • Personal Contact. Great for people who like to interact with others as well as a great practice in salesmanship.
